The importance of flashcards

The use of flashcards in the english classroom is really important and useful to children.
Flashcards can be made by your or your pupils and can be used to introduce,  practise or review structures and vocabulary. For young learners, they are very often made by using pictures but words can also be used.
If the latter, they should be produced in large, clear, black  letters using a computer or written clearly by hand. Pictures can be drawn by you or imported from clip art on computer or photocopied. It is sometimes useful to enlarge pictures on a photocopier so the pupils can colour them. When using flashcards, ask yourself: Are the large enough for the whole class to see?. Does the picture convey the meaning clearly?

Here, I add a video with many flashcards that it can be useful for you, futures teachers!
