Idioms

It's an expression whose meaning can not be inferred from the meaning of the words that make
it up.

The idiom has a figurative meaning.

Examples:

-Actions speak louder than words.

-Eyes are bigger than one's stomach.

-In the twinkling of an eye.

-Old friends and add wine are best.

-Uncharted waters.

-To fight like cats and dogs.

-To be like a dog with two tails.

-To have eyes in the back.

-Not so black as somebody is painted.

-To have an eye for something.
