``WORD CLOUDS´´!

A word cloud is a resource very useful to teach English to children because you can get some ideas for activities covering different skills.

Here, I give you some ideas that you can use to teach or review vocabulary:

1. Create a word cloud with five or six words, all but one of which have something in common. Have the students find the odd one out.

2. Show the students a cloud with words belonging to a certain semantic field  ( clothes, food, animals, etc. ) and ask them to make sentences.

3. Ask the students to find pairs of opposites / synonyms in a word cloud.

4. Have the students create a word cloud to revise vocabulary from recent lessons.
